Crusaders in Procession

In contrast with the primary-coloured sweatshirts, I couldn't help being impressed by the uniforms of the Dames of the Holy Sepulchre. The Knights were wearing black boiler-suits with armbands which looked like a concession to practicality by comparison. I was not satisfied with the photos I took of them in procession but at least this one does show the standard being carried. They are just crossing over the River Gave during the Blessed Sacrament Procession.

After reading Fr Nicholas Schofield's article on the Crusades in Faith Magazine, it was striking to see the flag with the motto Deus Lo Vult on the wall over the main information desk at Lourdes.
