The State cannot give you love. Your family can, because it is an intimate community of love, of life shared with real people of your own flesh and blood.
Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.

Family soundbites
On this website supporting the 5th World Meeting of Families recently held in Valencia, there are wallpapers, screensavers, articles and soundbites designed to support the family and to campaign for the family. The tab posters/flashes has some quite hard-hitting flash animations. On the ideas page, there are some well-produced posters with inspiring texts on the family such as the one above. Another quote:

Families need the support of the Church now more than ever before, because the satanic onslaught against everything that we hold as the norm is intensifying. Secular promotion of promiscuity, adultery, divorce, homosexual lifestyles, homomatrimony, even polygamy judging by a current series on the TV is running rampant and unopposed.
Catholic families need to strengthen their faith and truely get to grips and understand the Church's teachings on family life because these teachings are Truth and they act as a reference point for husband and wife in their vocation as spouses and parents.
I can honestly say that without the Catholic Faith in my life as a husband and father it would be like being adrift on the ocean without a compass.
We desperately need our priests and bishops to LEAD FROM THE FRONT. We need to get the laiety involved more in promoting the Family and Culture of Life NOT by 'clericalising' ever more people into special ministers for this or that, but by maximising on the strengths and talents each parishioner can offer to the community whether they are married, single, young or old.
Secularism has somehow managed to divide people to turn everyone into 'an island'. This turns people in on themselves and the selfish 'me, myself and I' mentality sets in. Truely divisive. Human beings aren't supposed to live like that.
There is a 'springtime' in the air in the Catholic Church. The old liberals, progressives, reformists and 'fuzzy's' of the '60s are dying out. Their 'tired' heretical ideas have got them absolutely nowhere, except that they have robbed a generation of their faith.
The tide is turning but there is so much that need's to be done. We can all start by grounding ourselves, each one of us, more fully in the Gospels and making the Holy Family the only role model
for our own family life.
Once we have built solid foundations within our own family, it is then much easier to reach out to others in our communities.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph - help our families to become Holy.
