Tomorrow, I will be taking Easyjet to Geneva and then travelling to the French Alps via Annecy with my sisters for the wedding of my niece, Mary and her fiancé, Robbie. The photo shows Église St Martin at Les Allues where the wedding will take place. Here is a photo of Annecy which was the home of St Francis de Sales when he was the Catholic Bishop of Geneva. We will be passing through here and may perhaps have the time to stop.

A long life and many children to your niece and her husband, Father.
Enjoy your trip.
How *wonderful* that you're getting to see some of the places connected with "The Gentle Christ of Geneva" St. Francis de Sales! He truly is one of the most wonderful Bishops the Church has ever been blessed with. I'm proud to count him as one of my Patrons. Fr. Tim, If you can get your hands on the two volume life of St. Francis de Sales by Rev. Harold Burton (imprimatured: Westminster 1925) you won't be dissapointed!! It's fantastic.
Also, re: the Carthusians. Thank you so much for the pictures of Parkminster. I contacted them some years ago about the book "Halfway to Heaven" and was pleased to deal with Br. Simon, who was Procurator at the time (is he still in that Office?) He was very generous in sending me some other booklets from his own library. Could you tell me, as a matter of interest,do any of the Fathers avail themselves of the Traditional Carthusian Rite of Mass?
Safe journey Father. Ora pro me!
You are a lucky man!
Thank you for your kind wishes and comments. Just back, uploaded the photos to the PC and will be posting some in a minute.
To Jason: I was more blessed than I had expected when I found out about the Church in Les Allues. Will post. And yes, Bro Simon is still the Procurator. He occasionally leaves me some jame, some fruit, a Carthusian book or some of the apple wine to take home after my visits. Always delightfully received.
