Bloggers Choice Awards

In an attempt to be humble, I generally don't mention award sites. However, this one is worth our making our voice heard. In the Bloggers Choice Awards, religion category, there is an atheist blog competing for "Best Religion Blog". So that's got to be stopped.

I've got 60 votes as of today - equal to Cardinal O'Malley but way below the real leaders of the Catholic blogosphere, Cafeteria is Closed, Jimmy Akin and Amy Wellborn's Open Book.

You have to register (free) to vote but I think it is worth the time. You can vote for this blog to push it above the atheist one, or you can vote for one of the biggies to give them even more of a lead. I don't mind which.

You can vote for as many as you like.

It is very clear that Catholics predominate.

I'd like to see us vote for all the Catholic blogs on at least the first page of the "Best Religion Blog" category, so that we end up knocking the atheist (anti-religion) blog off of that page.

Atheist blog in the religion section?

Why don't they just create a "nothing" section for those who believe in nothing?

Unfortunately this atheistic site is not nothing. It is a cover for anti-catholic venom and hatred and God`s existence is immaterial. To include it in an award scheme is an insult to normal intelligence and makes a farce of the competition. An anti religious blog category would be a more suitable.
