St Anicetus Mass - gospel

My camera was set up on the tripod and focussed onto the altar in order to get the best lighting. Jonathan saw to it that the Gospel Procession went outside the sanctuary (to preach the Gospel to the barbarians of the North) so that got missed from my photos. However, Mac got a couple of photos on her mobile phone. (See her blog Mulier Fortis for others.)

Where are the people? It looks like Novus Ordo attendance?

Hey, anon, whoever the blazes you are, this is the third time you have posted this. (You may be different people but if you are anon, you can't claim any identity.)

As I said the other two times, the attendance was quite good for a weekday Mass, especially as many of my parishioners came to an earlier NO Mass. And as Mulier Fortis pointed out, you can see some of the laity in the video at Communion.

Being Catholics, the people who were there sat further back as Catholics often do. I'm not one of those priests who says to people "Now all come and sit at the front."

Try and be positive.

We approve, Father Finigan. As a reward for your good liturgical practices and orthodoxy, We, by Our Apostolic authority, hereby appoint you Grand Liturgical Inquisitor of United Kingdom! Your task is to stamp out bad taste, burn ugly vestments and stupid hymnals, and to yell at liberals in Latin.

;-)

We give you Our Apostolic Benediction,

PIVS PP VII

I am indeed honoured, Holy Father and will do my best to repay the confidence you have shown in me.

May I take this opportunity to congratulate you on obtaining a replacement from Napoleon for the papal tiara he took from your predecessor of happy memory.
