AS a young man in the 1950`s I was in the Church Choir and sang the tenor part in a Mass of Our Lady of Willesden. I often asked what was the connection between Our Lady and Willesden but noobdy had any information to give me. I wonder if they sing that Mass at the shrine. I am intrigued and am resolved to pay a visit.

I must admit, when I first read the item, I thought you were having a laugh about a pilgriminage to... Willesden! I've just read details of the shrine following the link you gave, and it's very interesting. I really love your blog, not only for the more obvious sound things that you write about, but also for little gems like this.
