Everything old is new again - papal version?

The first ever video I posted on this blog was "Everything old is new again" by Ma Beck of the Ward Wide Web. Here it is again in case you haven't seen it. Still my favourite.

You could almost do a second edition entirely from recent papal pictures. The latest example is the stole that the Holy Father wore yesterday when he went to venerate the statue of the Immaculate Conception at the Spanish Steps. It belonged to Pope St Pius X:

Thanks!

I don't have a clue as to why embedding was disabled.

Good to see that the Holy Father is re-cycling. Impeccable green credentials.

Thank you, Father, for this post.

The old saying that one picture is worth a thousand words is hackneyed, but true.

At the very time Archbishop Piero Marini's book rekindles memories of the violent liturgical rupture of the Bugnini era, the juxtaposition of the photos of Pope St. Pius X and Pope Benedict XVI wearing the same papal stole speaks volumes about the continuity of the Church.

Yes, I think it's time for "Everything Old Is New Again" (part II).

Fr. Tim,

The stole was exhumed after 100 years of being buried in the recesses of a Vatican drawer and was found to be incorrupt.
