More evidence of the Pope John Paul generation and the Benedict effect in the Church. At the end of August, there is to be a week long summer camp with talks on the faith especially for those who feel that they have not received proper catechesis during their youth and want some catechesis "with a little more kick". The camp also includes Mass (including the TLM), divine office and exposition.
Now, you might think this is nothing unusual - these things happen all over the place nowadays. But this one is in Holland! I have been invited to go and give one of the talks and I am looking forward to being a part of this most heartening development.

I hope this goes well but I don't buy into this "JP II generation" tag which instinctly makes me wary.
What we have is the "Great Apostasy" and "Post-pedophile scandals" generation of Catholic. These features of the John-Paul II papacy account for the new conservatism. In addition, the collapse of the Soviet Empire has contributed to this "reevaluation" of the disastrous post-Vatican II era of Church history.
Brilliant, the Holy Spirit is working hard, even though we somethimes cannot see it.
And we're so happy that you will come! I'm afraid that there was a lot of undignified behaviour in the organising committee. There might even have been squeeling involved.
That's fantastic, Father! I am a convert of ten years and I had gotten myself into a bind that my dear Priest was helping me to untangle and he was appalled at my ignorance when we sat down and had a good talk. He was very nice to me but both of us were shocked! I never even KNEW I was that ignorant but it became blatantly obvious to *myself* as I sat there giving Father blank "Duuuuuh..." looks or telling him, "I was never told about THAT!" And here I am a total "Benedict" Catholic that prays the Divine Office and loves the Latin Mass and adores Jesus with all of my heart... This is totally going to sound dramatic but I feel as if I have been robbed of a huge portion of the Faith and I've spent the past decade as a very dumb Catholic! Thank God for Pope Benedict and priests like you and our dear Father here in the islands!!
I can only echo what venite said. There was much bouncing and excitement.
