The United Nations is to send nearly a quarter of a million condoms into Burma "to help needy survivors with no access to contraceptives." UNFPA aid advisor Chaiyos Kunanusont said "We don't want regular use of contraception disrupted." See South Africa news 24: 220 000 condoms off to Myanmar(Not a spoof.)

Are these the same people who tell people not to criticise the Burmese junta because it 'antagonises them'? They have no concept of the reality of evil, even when they are surrounded by it.
Evil is not 'antagonised' by opposition, it is cowed, because it is pathetic. But silence, silence they love! A light shone on them they hate. Darkness they love. (I'm talking about the SPDC here, rather than the aid workers!)
If the junta makes concessions it is NOT because people have cosied up to them, it is because they are afraid of America.
UN, UNFPA - they are simply all barking mad! The Country of Burma (Myanmar) is devastated by a cyclone - flooding, famine, disease, thousands dead, families broken apart, rotting corpses, homes blown away and destroyed, thousands of people injured! And WOW - the great UN believes they're all at it like rabbits having sex all over the place - never mind the devastation and death all we want is sex!!! Absolutely any excuse to get contraception into the minds of people - even during a tragedy such as this. The devil never sleeps.
Just think how much medical aid or how many tents, bottles of clean water etc... the mind just boggles!
It is a disgraceful misuse of donated money and it is a disgraceful and patronising snub to the dignity of the people of Burma. May God help them through these terrible times.
How sick can you get!!. The people of Burma are in shock, starving and with disease creeping in. They don't even have beds to sleep in. What sick pervert decided they needed condoms. Is this all the decadent West thinks of.

Clearly the UN has an excellent sense of history.
When the German sixth army was beseiged at Stalingrad, the Luftwaffe attempted an air-drop of supposedly essential supplies to sustain their beleaguered comrades. It was a hit-and-miss effort, and the Russians captured most of what was parachuted in. One of the only large consignments that was successfully recovered by the German soldiers turned out to be a large supply of condoms.
I am sure that the Burmese people affected by the disaster will be just as bemused when they unwrap their UN aid bundles and find that they contain neither food, water nor medicine.
