Fr Durham in Helsinki

Fr Benjamin Durham FSSP has been visiting Finland. Above is a photo of the Missa Cantata at St Henry's Cathedral last Sunday. The Summorum blog has details (with some text in English) and photos of his visits to Holy Cross at Tampere, the Missionaries of Charity, Maala in the Finnish countryside (with a game of "mölkky"), and today to the Carmelite sisters in Esopo. I was very glad to hear that he also had the opportunity to meet the Bishop of Helsinki.

Very nice photo, I like the shadow of the crucifix on the wall.

I'm in England at the moment so I'm unable to attend (but being able to attend Pontifical High Mass at Westminster will more than make up for that). It looks fantastic though. I have been praying that Fr. Durham's visit will be successful and that many more Finnish Catholics will come to love the traditional liturgy of the Church.

Is Fr Durham still based in England?

Fr Durham is now based in Bavaria but is very keen on his Scandinavian missionary activity: he has a deep interest in the Catholic culture of these countries and he has the missionary spirit in spades. He is indefatigable!
