Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.
H/T to Fr Ray Blake for this family video which powerfully illustrates the value of a thbe life of a little girl with trisomy. The doctors said it would be blessing if she died. The family's love shows that it was a blessing that she was allowed to live and that "God doesn't make mistakes."
Father, this is a great video indeed. This kind of positive affirmation of the life message strikes me as particularly critical, given the sweeping tide of cyncism and consumerism of our age.
Did you hear the other cheerful pro-life story of today, about the young girl who has recovered after being on life-support since September after a near-drowning? The parents have talked about their reliance on prayer in this time.
If I may add a gratuitous plug, I have posted about that story on my own blog, at Life-good news story
This is so beautiful, I sent the link to my daughter and some friends, each one of them said how much it touched their hearts. How precious is the life of our children. God never makes mistakes, is so true when it comes to the children He gives us. God knows us and knows the children we need to bring us closer to him. All we need to do is trust Him implicitly.
Thanks for this video. I put it up on my Bebo page (some students set up it up for me -so I might as well use it) and hopefully it will get the pro-life message over to the younger generation. I have to say that on the whole young people are pro-life, they just don't know why.
God has truely blessed this child by placing her in the heart of a loving family. At the same time the family has been blessed by the fact that God trusts them to look after one of his 'special' little souls.
God NEVER makes mistakes, but to understand that you have be close to Him, trust Him unconditionally and look beyond the surface and trivia of life.
