Missa Cantata on Caldey Island
Fr Jason Jones of Our Lady of the Taper, Cardigan, celebrated Missa Cantata celebrated in the Priory Chapel on Caldey Island on the Feast of the Most Precious Blood. Swallows swoooped over Father Jason's head as he celebrated Mass.
This was the first usus antiquior Mass celebrated on the island for 40 years and was organised by Latin Mass Society.

One of the first Masses i experienced as a 'fully fledged' Catholic, was on Caldey Island. Some pretty amazing stuff happened that day.
Here's a link that might explain what i mean.
My father, an atheist at the time was the first to spot 'the face in the lighthouse'. A couple of years later and he became Catholic.
Oh no! They're everywhere! & that was a joke I think!
OOooo I remember the incredibly lumpy floor in that little ancient chapel. All made from beach pebbles. I prayed for a moment and then thought how extremely penitential it would be to kneel on the floor as a regular thing.
Also gratified to see that there is a sign on the door saying there is a perpetual novena of Masses being said for anyone who left prayer intentions in the chapel. The little place is festooned with slips of paper.
It's not a tourist trap by any means.
