The Oxford Oratory will be holding a Holy Hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament especially in the light of Anglicanorum Coetibus, on the feast of the Chair of Peter, Monday 22 February, at 8pm.
It is strange how things change over time. I am beginning to get the impression that ecumenism is becoming less of an enthusiasm among liberal Catholics - especially now that Pope Benedict is taking it so seriously ;-)

As a priest friend of mine said in Oxford on Thursday - 'there's nothing more conservative than an old-fashioned liberal' !
Mind you, one can hardly expect the 'Stand Up for VII' brigade to be enthusiastic about an influx of people who come seeking structure, discipline, and good liturgy . . .
It is not a case of us(Roman Catholics) being reconciled to them, but them to us.It was the Protestants and Anglicans who left us because of the Reformation. But who am i to say no to reconciliation when the Lord wants it.
"Stand up for VII".
Mmm, VII, wasn't that a Word War II Nazi rocket? As I recall, it had no reliable guidance system and was intended to cause as much random damage as possible to ordinary civilians. Yep, that's about right.
