Looking at the number of photos I took in Paris, I realised that it would save a lot of time if I spent some little time setting up a Flickr account at long last. Here it is: Fr Tim Finigan's Photostream. I have uploaded some photos in various sets related to the different Churches I visited. They are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 2.0 Generic licence. In other words, you can use them on your blog but you should give credit for them.
I was especially pleased with some of the ones of Notre Dame, thanks to the Lord's gift of sunshine earlier today.

Rats... The iPhone can't use flickr, so the slideshows aren't viewable...
*sniff*
I guess there had to be something that the iPhone couldn't do...
;-)
There's an app for that.
(And I don't even have an iTelephone yet!)
Dearest Father, what a surprise it was to be added as your friend on flickr! Of course I promptly accepted and reciprocated. You'll be happy to know that you are well regarded amongst the university chaplaincies here in Sydney, Australia.
Please forgive the extended hiatus suffered by Chiral Capers (both blog and flickr), I assure you that as soon as this blasted thesis is out the door I'll get cracking!

What a pity you didn't go to my favourite Paris church - St Julien le Pauvre, now used by the Greek Melchites (Eastern-rite uniates).
Hello Father -- lovely photos, many thanks for posting them! Would you be able to include the number of the arrondissement to the names/descriptions of churches? We are in Paris several times a year and have had some rather, ahem, "interesting" experiences through random choice of churches for Mass... It would be good to get a few pointers!
Fr Tim: The figure holding his decapitated mitred head (there's a word for representations of this kind but I can't remember it) is presumably St Denis. Where is it?
I'm off to Paris in three weeks' time DV. If I'm feeling fit I'll walk up to Sacré Coeur....on second thoughts I'll go up by funicular and walk down.
The statue of the decapitated Bishop did not have a legend underneath but of course, it must be, as you say, St Denis.
It is in the crypt below the Basilica.
