Summary of attacks on Pope Benedict

The latest article from the magisterial Sandro summarises six critical points of his pontificate with brief responses to each. Magister notes that attacks on the Pope are a constant of his Pontificate:
It is a constant because every time, on different terrain, striking Benedict XVI means striking the very man who has worked and is working, on that same terrain, with the greatest foresight, resolve, and success.
At the end of the article, Magister asks why the Holy Father is so much under attack both from within and from outside of the Church despite his innocence with respect to the accusations. He suggests that the beginning of an answer is:
he is systematically attacked precisely for what he does, for what he says, for what he is.
