Good news from Scotland

Averting our eyes from the space-alien architecture designed for the beatification of Cardinal Newman, it is good to see that Scotland seems to be getting things right. Here is a link to a video about the St Ninian's Day Parade planned in Edinburgh for the visit of the Holy Father, which will also raise money for two charities. Cardinal O'Brien is pictured above with Fiona Hyslop MSP, the Minister for Culture and External Affairs, who will be launching the parade together with him. See the Scottish Catholic Media Office article: St Ninian's Day Parade Launch.

In another story, a poll has been commissioned by the Scottish Catholic Media Office which shows that those opposing the papal visit form a very small minority. See also the report in Scotland on Sunday: Welcome the Pope.
