Hugh Ambrose Nash

Hugh Ambrose Nash, born 20 April 2006, was baptised last Saturday, 3 May by Fr Simon Blakesley. His father, Edmund tells me that the robe he is wearing was made after the war by the grandmother of Fiorella (his wife). She was a professional seamstress and made the robe for Fiorella's father. (She had to knock up another one in a hurry because he is an identical twin.)

Apparently, baby Hugh spent most of the baptism crying. No need to worry about that. The old tradition is that this is the devil departing.
