Papal fanon reappears

This morning at Mass, the Holy Father wore the Fanon, a vestment reserved to the Pope alone and worn by him at Pontifical Mass.

Southern Order also reports that the Old Testament Lesson, Responsorial Psalm and Epistle were proclaimed from the Epistle side of the altar and the Gospel from the Gospel side of the altar.

As Fr Z would say: Brick by Brick

Just wondering whether or not I am the only person waiting for Papa Ratzinger to celebrate Holy Mass in the "Old Rite" - EF, Usus antiquor, surely everyone knows which roman rite to which I refer.

Thanks for highlighting my blog in this post, but it is southern order, not southern cross, although The Southern Cross is our diocesan newspaper's name (Diocese of Savannah, Georgia, USA). But southern orders does make for better reading and a wonderful source for breaking news! :)

Sorry, Father - I have made the correction now.
