The atheist moral high ground

Above is one of the 20 coolest atheist t-shirts. Hmmm. Atheists have carried out various forms of torture and execution in the gulags of the Soviet Union, in North Korea, Cambodia, China, Mexico, and Spain, killing millions of people in the process in the unprecedented slaughters of the 20th century.

But maybe they have never stoned anyone. I don't know.

A lot of people in the UK have been bored to death by atheists.

Stoning to death is so technologically backward you see, the genius of the atheistic intelligentsia have found much more efficent ways to kill people.

They are pretty good at slogans e.g. on the buses and the abortion group thinking up 'pro choice' was clever.

We live in a sound bite culture and these slogans don't take much digesting to stay in our minds.

Theists and pro choice people should get some Christians in advertising to think up some slogans.

they don't people because it would be to ineffcient and time consuming = less time to fornicate, gas chambers are less time consuming.

It's rather curious that not a single one of the designs by the brave shirt-maker pokes fun at Mohammed or Islam.

If, as Dawkins contends, there is nothing but matter then there can be no morality. The Holocaust was just a series of unfortunate chemical reactions.

'No-one has ever been STONED to death by aetheists'.

Oh really? Well.... yes they have!

How about bringing the meaning of the word 'stoned' into the 21st Century!

For sure many millions have been 'stoned' (poisoned) to death by the Aetheists who peddle their addictive and destructive drugs and alcohol.

So stick that on your T-shirt you pin-heads....

A better T-shirt slogan for Aethesists might read something like, 'Father, forgive us for we know not what we do'.

The reply T-shirt should read:

"Catholicism never stoned anyone to death but Soviet atheists massacred 50,000 innocents per month during Stalin's terror".

Source of information: Solzhenitzyn's Gulag Archipelago.

Interestingly, the mildest Tribunal that history ever saw was the Roman Inquisition which ordered no executions and only "relaxed" to the secular arm a tiny number of people during its long history.

Atheists, on the other hand, have the worst of all records, being responsible not only for more executions than anyone else but for far more unjust executions.

Moreover, Solzhenitsyn gives examples of Kulaks and others being stoned to death by Soviet atheists.

Atheists have a problem with telling the truth, too, as you see.

No stonings, but I'm sure they'll have bored quite a few to death before long.

Well, I've run into many atheists who employ the No-True-Scotsman fallacy. That is, when nominal Christians commit atrocities, that's religion being it's awful self. When states hostile to religion commit atrocities, those are not real atheists. Faugh.

In slightly better new, the "Lapsed Atheist" t-shirt has proved itself to be very popular with us just now!

Lapsed Atheist - love it. Where can I get one?

Don't forget concentration camps. The Nazis were an atheist movement as well, but modern atheists somehow don't like to be reminded of this particular inconvenient truth.

As Padre Pio said to someone who did not believe in hell. 'You will when you get there'. Now I am not saying that atheists go to hell any more than all Christians go to heaven. But it is still worth thinking about.

Fr. Tim,

I am currently reading Professor Anthony Flew's book about his rejection of atheism, "There is a God." He has finally shifted from decades of hardened atheism to a position of deism (he still rejects the concept of an afterlife).

The way he lays into Squawkings (who has accused Flew of apostasy) and the other "New Atheists" is a real tonic! I'm sure readers of this blog will love it.
