Miguel Hayworth and his father, John, have been preaching on the street in Manchester for five years but have now been told by the Police that handing out tracts is harrassment and that reading out passages from the Bible was inciting hatred. The Police action was initiated after complaints were received from two members of the public. Miguel Hayworth's case has been taken up by the Christian Legal Centre which has written to complain to the Police.

To be arrested for such activity is to witness to the faith. People were arrested in the Deformation, as well. This contemporary Deformation will have to be stared down, or prove itself the monster that it claims it is not. These guys are courageous men.
I can't comment on this individual case, but if this is supposedly fair and proportionate then I'd like to see the proselytising Hare Krishnas arrested, and the Mormons, and the Scientologists, not to mention any number of wacko cults that may be looming around someone's local street corner.
I studied in England (where I assume this happened) at a Bible School in my Evangelical days (I'm now Catholic) and I was amazed at the fervor of some of the street preachers in Chestor and Kendal.
It's sad to think that a country which had already attacked the Catholic truth (with the CofE), has now attacked God's truth in the Scriptures, which were their alleged basis for the reformation, and the alleged state religion of England.

Funny then how this same 'legal system' allows the grossest homosexual acts to be performed in full view of the public during these disgusting 'gay pride' parades that take place everywhere. The police stand idly by as if nothing extraordinary was happening.
Oh... well that's OK off course - no offences committed here! After all, everyone has freedom of expression and their 'uman rights!!!!

Seems everyone and their dog has 'uman rights etc... except Catholics whose rights are being eroded and trampled on a daily basis!
