AP Photo/Arturo RodriguezThere was another massive pro-life demo in Madrid yesterday, with the theme "Cada Vida Importa" ("Every Life Matters"). Even the regional government admitted that more than a million turned up - the organisers estimate 2 million. Zapatero's abortion bill would allow abortion on demand up to 14 weeks and allow doctors to carry out abortions of the babies of girls aged 16-17 without their parents' consent.
Here is a video from the Spanish station RTVE:

Thanks for the post.
"Against the new abortion law"
Is ok the old law?
Something smells bad here.
Some of the mainstream media can't cope with the reality of the turnout. CNN reports only "thousands" turned out. The New York Times says only "tens of thousands", claiming that "There was no independent assessment of the crowd’s size" - even when the BBC, et al. reported over a million.
Spain has one of the lowest birth rates in Europe. Maybe at last they are beginning to see that there will be no Spain without children. I am sure St Josemaria Escriva is stirring things up both in heaven and on earth.
There is an impressive report (2 minutes) in English by CNN with images of the huge pro life crowd.I was there and we were really hundreds of thousands. From Spain we would like to say all prolifers in the world: do not get tired, be hopeful, be united and defend life with acts and prayer and a merry face!

A slight adjustment to the chorus from that 'silly' but popular song from the 70's Y VIVA ESPANA!
"Oh this year in lovely Sunny Spain Y Viva Espana,
Zapatero got it in the neck again, Y Viva Espana,
Spanish families must live in God's domain,
And have children by the score, Espana por favor!"
What a fantastic turnout for such an important, THE MOST IMPORTANT, issue of our times!!!
Zapatero and his 'death peddling cronies' should be quaking in their boots as this has surely sent a THUNDERBOLT of a message to the core of Spanish Government - a message they cannot ignore or sweep under the carpet. Spaniards have chosen LIFE!
Y VIVA ESPANA!!! GOD BLESS SPAIN!
It´s not my intention ruin your post. But only around 60 thousand people were in that demostration. The demostration was manipulated by the Popular Party which supports strongly abortion. The reality is that abortion has a huge support between Spanish people. Unfortunately.
Please, erase my former post.
