Send an email to Pope Benedict

Reading Auntie Joanna's blog, I am reminded that Pope Benedict does have a public email address: benedictxvi@vatican.va

Now might be a good time to send a supportive and encouraging email. Obviously he is not going to read them all himself but it is possible that an official might let him know that there has been a number of loyal and kind messages incoming.

And do remember to pray for him. One way of reminding yourself to do this is to try to gain plenary indulgences as often as possible, fulfilling the condition of praying for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Father, I wonder if it is wise to publish the pope's email address. If you have read any of the comments under any media article which mentions the Catholic Church you will know why I say this. Is it worth while sorting through the filth which will flood the pope's email for handful of supportive emails?

Victoria - the Holy See published an email address for Pope Benedict. I'm sure there is a lot of incoming hate mail and that it is some poor drudge's job to sort through it. That is the price of allowing people to send communications this way.

Vijay - many thanks. Most interesting blog you have and wonderful pictures from space.

Dear Father Finigan

Publishing this e-mail address has given me the ultimate symbolic 999 recipient for emergency communications emerging from my HEART n SOUL.

I think it would be a wonderful job of great responsibility, not drudgery, to be given the task of seperating the real SOS messages of love, from 666 messages of hate, and to then pass them on to Christ's Vicar.

I hope you appreciate my first e-mail to this address, which I copied you into this morning
