Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.
Taylor Marshall at Canterbury Tales posted this video of How to Build a Backyard Catholic Shrine with pictures of his family. One or two Catholic families I know might follow up on this. (In England we call it the back garden.)
Funny you mention this: we were scouting around stonemason and statuary yards here in the Languedoc this past weekend for a statue of the BVM for a garden shrine that has been planned but delayed for want of the "right" statue for many years...

We have a lovely stone statue of Our Lady which we honour in May & throughout the year in our "back garden"..
What a great idea - as are holy water stoups.
Father, every time I log on to your blog I hear an Aussie voice, too.
Are we hallucinating?
Ah! I think the Aussie voice is from that video of the Pizza joke - it is also making the blog slow to load, I think. It'll fall off the page soon ...
