Bishop Elliott celebrates Pontifical High Mass
On the feast of Christ the King (old calendar), recently consecrated Bishop Peter Elliott celebrated Solemn Pontifical Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.
The Mass concluded the three day Christus Rex Pilgrimage from Ballarat to Bendigo; an event inspired by the Chartres pilgrimage.
Bishop Elliott is the author of "Ceremonies of the Modern Roman Rite", a guide to the proper celebration of the Novus Ordo. He worked for some time at the Pontifical Council for the Family and wrote an excellent book on marriage in the light of the teaching of Pope John Paul II, "What God Has Joined".
Bishop Elliott was consecrated on 15 June this year. Here is his page on the Catholic Hierarchy website.
