"The 13th Day" - film about Fatima

"The 13th Day", a new film by Ian and Dominic Higgins, premiered last week at the Cannes Film Festival. The makers are currently negotiating for someone to handle the distribution and expect it to be available in North America in 6 months. I hope that they succeed and that it is also available for us over here. Here is the official trailer which looks good:

When will it hit the big screen like 'The Nativity' did?
More realistically where can we get a copy???
More films like this and I am sure there would be more converts.
Thank you Father for this trailer.

Anyone know how soon before it comes to England? The trailer looks awesome.

What a great way to spread the message of Fatima to the world at large. Catholic film-making is a good apostolate. God Bless the Higgins's. i wonder what inspired them to go ahead with this project? Yeh! I Know the Holy Spirit would be involved as the 'Key mover', but what other, little things....?

I wonder what Cannes made of it - bearing in mind the trite and fatuous self-centred nature of most of the films that are shown at that festival.

I look forward to seeing this new film when it comes to our shores.

We have a copy of the original Warner Brothers 1952 film (in video format) in the home library, called 'The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima' and that is excellent. The whole family as well as friends of the children have enjoyed this over the years.

Looking forward to seeing this film. The cinematography reminds me a bit of Carl Dreyer's 1928silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc. In 1994, the composer Richard Einhorn, influenced by Dreyer's film, wrote the piece "Voices of Light" - a fabulous work sung by the Anonymous 4 (available on Sony Classical). Both the film and the musical piece are worth your time.
