Fr Edward Houghton RIP

Regular commenter Red Maria sends the sad news of the death of Fr Edward Houghton. Please pray for the repose of his soul. The following announcement comes via Independent Catholic News:

From the Vicar General of Westminster Diocese:

It is with a profound sense of shock and sadness that we announce that Fr Ed Houghton was fatally injured in a road accident in North Yorkshire yesterday, Friday 21 August. He was forty years of age and had been a priest for just over one year. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with Fr Ed's immediate family - his sisters and brother, at this time. We remember also the parish communities at Chiswick where he was Assistant Priest, and the Cathedral where he served his year as a Deacon.

Fr Ed was born in Preston and prior to studying for the priesthood worked as an English and Religious Education teacher at St Charles Sixth Form College in Ladbroke Grove. He had been a resident at Newman House when he was a student. Our prayers are with his family and all who mourn him. May he rest in peace.

POOR GREEN MAN'S UPDATE FOR RED MARIA TOO!

My own individual case for the defence against English speaking neo-Nazis has reached a critical juncture here in London.

A recent front page from the Bexley News Shopper focused on the scandal involving former Bexley Council Leader Ian Clement's GLA expenses claim, and it made for very worrying reading indeed :

'The Met Police confirmed they received an official complaint from BNP member Michael Barnbrook about Mr Clement's claims on his Greater London Authority (GLA) card.'

Unfortunately for London, and Father Finigan's Parish 'Our Lady of the Rosary' Blackfen, Mr Michael Barnbrook is not just "any member of the public", Mr Barnbrook, is a former Metropolitan police inspector, who is also the BNP’s spokesman on police and he was the BNP Candidate in East Wickham, Welling where he came within 9 votes of beating the Conservatives, he is also the prospective Parliamentary candidate for Old Bexley and Sidcup in the next General Election, and he was second on the BNP London list in the recent European elections.

The election of Nick Griffin, the neo-Nazi leader and Andrew Brons as BNP MEP's will now require all of us to face up to the greatest fascist threat ever to emerge from within an English speaking democracy. Oswald Moseley and his blackshirts never broke into the mainstream via the ballot box, and they certainly never represented Britain on the European political stage.

Hard evidence relating to my high profile FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE(FARE) JUSTICE NOT VENGEANCE FOCUS 1991-2009 :MPS ref PC/2571/07 case for the defence against SS 33 The Watcher's NF/BNP/KKK entry-ism into London's Sporting/Planning Arena, which was originally backed up by a malevolent prosecution by CID Greenwich after a phone call made by Steve Taylor of the TSG, was given to former MPS Assistant Commissioner Robert Quick MBA by DS Ian Coleman of the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards,Internal Investigations Command. The associated complaint against former Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur's staff officer Detective Superintendent Matthew Horne is now with the IPCC.

'Green' Darren Johnson as the Chair of the London Assembly has provided written support for this FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE case for the defence against neo-Nazi entryism into London's Sporting/Planning Arena 1991-2009, and Doreen Lawrence has also asked me to "keep up the good work".

Last season hermeneutic of continuity published an update of my FARE 2008/9 professional work which as has now reached a critical legal juncture here in London : vesper has left a new comment on the post "Mass at St Peter's".

As we enter the FARE 2009/10 football season and approach the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, my FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE (FARE) legal case 1991-2009 is a now very valuable piece of intellectual property, as it has already seen me defeat the IPCC, and the former MPS Commissioner of Police, Sir Ian Blair at Judicial Review before the Honourable Judge Goldring in Court No 1 at the Royal Courts of Justice on the 28th February 2007.

PAPA RATZI ORA PRO NOBIS!

Our Lady of the Rosary pray for us in BNP leader Nick Griffin MEP's EU/GLA/LDA/ODA NEO-NAZI DEVELOPMENT TIMES Amen

Ed did his parish placement at St. John Fisher, North Harrow. He immediately fitted in to our community and we were privileged to witness him growing into his vocation in the year he was with us. His warmth and humility and willingness to listen were quite remarkable. I think we learned more from him than he did from us. Ed willingly endured the less enjoyable sides to Parish life, and even subjected himself to the odd night out with parishioners (me and my mad family included) without any visible signs of "I'm a would-be priest, get me out of here." After he left us at SJF, we decided this man was going to go far. We were thrilled to follow his progress to the priesthood in the Allen Hall magazine. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, and with his new parish in Chiswick. Ed was a lovely man doing an amazing job.
