Warmest congratulations to Jeffrey and his family who were received into the Church on 18 July. (He comments on the relevance of the feast of St Camillus de Lellis in his own life.) After a few week's break for quiet and reflection, Jeffrey has returned to blogging - as a Catholic layman - at his blog de cura animarum.

Now "blogging as a Catholic layman"

One wonders if he is eligible for -- and sought -- the pastoral provision to become a priest. A warm welcome home in any event.
Thanks for the blog plug Father! When one goes away the readers do too and it is difficult sometimes to build it back up. This is a tremendous help and I thank you! God bless!
Dear Father Finigan
I have left the following message for Jeffrey Steel on his blog 'de cura animarum':
Welcome to the Catholic laity :-)

SONGS & DREAMS FOR SAD SISTER DEPTFORD A Deo et Rege : PART1
Spiral into the deep unconscious
Spiral into eternity
Mary Queen of living waters
Seep ever deeper into me
Round and round that mystic whirlpool
Round and round eternal sea
Mary conquer those depths uncharted
Mary conquer the inner me
Christ first man of composite nature
Christ the sacrifice to free
Mary Mother of our Creator
Accept this sacrifice of me

'What is still true - astonishingly,in the twenty/first century - is that Queen Elizabeth II retains the title Henry VIII took for himself:Supreme Head of the Church Of England,Defender of the Faith and - in theory at least - God's chosen representative in England'.
Will HRH The Prince of Wales make the same claims when it is his turn to rule England?
