Programme: Spiritual conferences, socials, Holy Mass each of the three days (Extraordinary Form of the Roman rite), silent prayer, private talk with Fr de Malleray, FSSP. Fr de Malleray will explain what is a vocation in general and to the priesthood in particular. Read here the Holy Father’s recent Letter to seminarians. Extract: “The proper celebration of the Eucharist involves knowing, understanding and loving the Church’s liturgy in its concrete form. In the liturgy we pray with the faithful of every age – the past, the present and the future are joined in one great chorus of prayer. As I can state from personal experience, it is inspiring to learn how it all developed, what a great experience of faith is reflected in the structure of the Mass, and how it has been shaped by the prayer of many generations.”This year, the Fraternity of St Peter has welcomed the 48 first year seminarians, the largest number since the foundation of the FSSP.
Cost: no set price for students or unemployed – any donation welcome; others: £50 suggested.

Forty-Eight First Year Seminarians!!!
OH, THANK GOD.
Perhaps they will need a seminary in the UK for their growing numbers. I wonder if suitable premises might be found, Ushaw might be available......
FSSP has a video out for vocations. I just did a post on it after watching it online.
To God Who Giveth Joy to My Youth
"Average age of members: 36"
Just visited their website, from which the above. And 48 first year seminarians! What truly good news. Unfortunately here in Ireland we're so behind the times that in certain circles this would be viewed as positively bad news! Still, I'm hoping for a reverse process to that which obtained in the 5th to 8th centuries when Ireland... well, you know :)
Prayers for those young men!!!
Would I be right in thinking that the SSPX has more of a presence in England than the FFSP?
If so we need to pray extra hard!
In Domino
