News from Chartres

Thanks to the New Liturgical Movement we can see the official photos from this year's Chartres Pilgrimage.

Once again I miserably failed to organise myself to get over at least for the closing Mass. Some of my friends did, however, and thanks to Fr Martin Edwards' Facebook album, here is a photo:

(By the way, NLM also have news that the Catholic Music Association of America have posted some more black and white images that are useful for newsletters and suchlike.)

The photos from the pilgrimage are so edifying...lots of young people, young families with children, young priests, seminarians, religious...the hope of the future!
Wish I could participate in one of these...not possible, at least, for now.
Our Lady, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Mother of the Church, pray for us!
Thanks, Fr. Tim for posting this!

A promising and unprecedented event was the visit of the Cardinal Archbishop of Paris, Mgr Vingt-Trois, during the pilgrimage. He attended the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and spoke to the pilgrims. His words might be seen as ambiguous (I see you as members of my family ... No-one chooses their family ...) but are, nonetheless, a step in the right direction! Deo gratias.

Actually we are having a coffee having walked all day in 80 degree heat, hearing confessions and giving spiritual conferences. So yes, A. Hegarty, it was penitential..
