- to deepen student knowledge and understanding of the Catholic vision for marriage and family particularly as informed by the teaching of Pope John Paul II;
- to enable students to reflect critically on how to apply this knowledge and understanding in response to the needs and enrichment of marriage and family life within their own vocational and professional settings.
There is also a short report on Stephen Milne's blog Witness to Love which is another new addition to the blogroll.

I did their 'Studies in the Catholic Catechism' course when the CCC came out an it was excellent! Maryvale highly recommended: intellectually stimulating and orthodox through and through.
BTW Father, is the offer of links still open? If so, could you add: Catholic Book Reviews
It's UK and by a layman (me!) Many thanks, Andrew Plasom-Scott
I'm in the first class for this program, and can't say enough about it. I'm in love with it! I have friends who've gone through the JP2 Institute Programs, and am not sure how they compare, since this program is a distance program, but I'm impressed with the academic quality and orthodoxy and spirit of prayerfulness.
I'm a long-term Maryvale student, now in my seventh year. I would heartily endorse this programme.
The Residential lectures begin with prayers usually including Our Lady Seat of Wisdom...Pray for us. Lectures usually stop for the Angelus.
The day begins with Mass and closes with Compline (followed by Symposium in the bar).
The catering is much improved and provided by lovely Brigettine sisters. The new bedroom curtains are wide enough to block out the security lights when they come on at night in response to a passing cat.
