Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.
I think that I've read them all. I loved them. And I enjoyed the films as well. They certainly captured the spirit of the books. Why aren't there any books like that now?

Don Camillo must hage forgotten the story of Tobit and the dog who followed!
You're right, it does cheer you up.
Priceless!
Fr Tim, thanks for that. Now I beg your pardon to allow me to pose a question here.
Can the Don Camillo books be read in any order, or is it best to read them in a certain order, such as the order of publication?
I ask because I have some second-hand ones at home: "Don Camillo's Dilemma" and a volume with "Comrade Don Camillo" and "Don Camillo and the Devil".
"tell me about it; I had to haul it up a hill!" - teehee! I would really like to see the Don Camillo movies one day, but they're so expensive.
Brilliant :D
Brendan - I'm not an expert on the books but wikipedia article gives the date order.
