The servers who come on Saturday morning for Mass and Benediction had some fun today opening up the new rose vestments and putting them so that I could show you a photo. Above is the shot where the servers didn't quite manage to be solemn.Mass was offered this morning for all the benefactors who have paid for these vestments in response to kind appeals by Damian Thompson on Holy Smoke and Fr Zuhlsdorf on What Does The Prayer Really Say. I will write to everyone who has contacted me but it will take me a little time. Thank you all very much indeed. Next Sunday's Mass will be a High Mass so I'll make sure there are some photos of the vestments in use. This morning, I blessed them.

They look fabulous, Father. Laetare!
Most satisfying.
Please send a photo to The Tablet for publication!
I wonder if Damian Thompson might be interested in putting the photo in his paper.

You could add a word of thanks to The Tablet for bring about this public offering in defraying the cost of the vestments as a result of their article about Blackfen.

Where did you get the vestments from?
What great photos: Full of life, full of joy, full of vigour. To quote Pope Benedict: "The Church is young."
Thank-you for publishing these pictures, Fr Tim. They give us hope. I have printed them off and stuck them above my desk. A reminder that the Holy Spirit is active.
Fr Jay - they are from Luzar Vestments.
But Father! But Father! Could all that money you spend on vestments be given to CAFOD or Amnesty International?! How insensitive you are to the suffering of the people of God!!!
;-)
A very satisfactory conclusion to the travails of the last few weeks.
Penetentia agite, O gentes tabulae!
Wonderful, Father. :-D
Fr. if you make ALL the Masses at your church the EF, you could probably retire any church debt within the year, refurbish the rectory/manse/presbyter whatever it is you call it, expand the church hall, add an indoor heated swimming pool.
Do you have room for a helicopter pad too? Not to mention the wetbar nd jacuzzi.
