Why commiserations for being identified with Pope Pual VI? Don't forget that he wrote that prophetic encyclical Humanae Vitae, for which he was vilified by the secular media (and some of the Catholic media) for the rest of his life. Liturgy is not the only thing in Catholic life - in fact without strong families based on the teaching of that encyclical, there would be no Church and no liturgy.
i know it's only light-hearted but since i've been blogging i've become aware that some people don't like some Popes..some think Pope JP2 is almost the devil incarnate..& i feel kind of sorry for Paul V1 although some very good people don't like him....what about 'loyalty to the Holy Father?' i mean i know there have been some bad Popes, but who decides? i hope you don't mind me hi-jacking what i know is only light-hearted but it's an opportunity to thrash this one out if that's OK?
