I was ordained on 28 July 1984 and therefore this year I celebrate my silver jubilee. There will be a Solemn High Votive Mass of the Holy Ghost (usus antiquior) on Tuesday 28 July at 7pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Blackfen, followed by a reception in the Church Hall. All blog readers are warmly invited. If you intend to come, please could you drop an email to ordination.jubilee@gmail.com so that my people can get an idea of numbers for the catering. Clergy and religious are invited to attend in choir (cassock and cotta or religious habit.)
There will also be a celebration on Saturday 25 July with English Mass in the newer form at 6pm followed by a reception in the Church Hall. You are also warmly welcome at this event. Clergy and religious are welcome to concelebrate or attend in choir.
See this link for details of how to get to Blackfen with annotated google maps.
Some friends are hiring a traditional red "Routemaster" London bus (pre-1962) to travel from central London and I will give details of this as soon as they are available.

Many congratulations for next month.
Thank you for saying, "yes" to God's call. God bless you on your anniversary!
May Jesus refresh your youthful energy and love for Him,and continue to draw you, and therefore others, to Him. May He assure you of His everlasting commitment to your vocation.
I recall a priest telling me recently that he was the only member of his semenary cohort still in the active priesthood after 12 years, and that statistics show that the majority of ordinands now typically spend ten years as a priest before falling away, usually to marry.
I'm not sure how true this is, but many congratulations on achieving 25 years, and still obviously enjoying your vocation. I hope to see your Golden (possibly even Diamond) Jubilee.

ad multos annos! Thank you for saying "adsum" 25 years ago! I thank the Lord for your "yes." I am a retired priest of 43 years who reads your blog with great pleasure. Blessings. Fr. Robert
Many thanks indeed for your kind message, Father.
Happy Anniversary!
Me, too--25th anniversary of religious profession.

God bless you on the occasion of your silver jubilee. And thank you for all you do.
Using a pre 1962 bus is illicit unless you include St. Joseph.
I will not be able to get on-line on 28 July, but send my very best wishes for your Silver Jubilee. Perhaps I will be able to come to your Golden Jubilee - that is if I am still alive.
I give thanks to God for your priestly ministry - it has been an inspiration and blessing to many.
God Bless you and keep you Father, and may He give you at least 25 More
