Reasons for going to Luxembourg
People have asked me "why are you going on holiday to Luxembourg?" As a joke I have said that it is because Luxembourg has more Michelin starred restaurants per capita than any other city in the world. In fact, Luxembourg is a beautiful city and well worth visiting for its Churches and stunning topography. I haven't been able to post many photos because of a slow connection at the hotel, but you can see a glimpse of the scenery in the photo above. Below is the glorious baroque interior,

Dear Father Tim,
While I can't comment on the veracity of the claim regarding Michelin stars per capita for Luxembourg, I have heard the same claim made for the small town (hamlet really) of Yountville, California, the home of Thomas Keller's "The French Laundry" which many people regard as the finest restaurant in the world. I enjoy reading your blog. If you ever desire to see Northern California Bay Area, I'd be glad to show you around. I'm currently entering my second year of candidacy for the Diaconate in the Diocese of Oakland.
Father Tim
Have you been, or will you be going to the Shrine of Our Lady, Consolation of the Afflicted? If it's not too late, your prayers would be appreciated at that shrine.

Reasons for going to Luxembourg? 4 words: Dancing procession of Echternach!
There was a modern Dracula series filmed there in the late 80's/early 90's. The ordinary street architecture was practically another character and made a low budget TV show stunning.
the Feds - Well Yountville California is now on my list of places to go!
JB36 - Just looked up on google to see the American link with the shrine of Our Lady Consoler of the Afflicted. I didn't realise the importance of the statue in the Cathedral but will try to visit it again & will say a prayer for you there.
Thank you so much Father for doing that. My cousin Luke (age 15) was just recently diagnosed with Cancer (sarcoma), and he had quite an agressive operation yesterday. As you can imagine, he and his family are going through a very tough time at the moment.
JB36 - so sorry to hear that. Fr Briggs and I took a detour this morning to call into the Cathedral and say a prayer for your intentions. I'm glad we did after reading just how important your intentions are.
God bless - I hope your cousin's operation went well.
Our Lady of Europe pray for us!
