Old Mass permission rumours hotting up - again

Yes, I know we have all heard this before. But that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Fr John Zuhlsdorf has a post this afternoon talking about an SMS he received in Latin. His analysis of the rumour is very sensible and worth reading. Fr John is worried that the Motu Proprio will be issued on the feast of the Immaculate Conception while he is away from Rome.
